Soldiers Arrest, Assault Chiwetalu Agu in Onitsha for Wearing Biafran Uniform

By Izunna Okafor

It was indeed a live 'Nollywood show' in Onitsha, Anambra State, as Nigerian Soldiers molested veteran Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu for wearing Biafran cloth.

Beautifully dressed in Biafran clothing, the 65-year-old movie legend was walking within the Upper Iweka Bridge in Onitsha when some ferocious Nigerian soldiers accosted him, wrestled him to the ground and dragged him.

Report had it that Agu was reportedly sharing food to the less privileged persons when government forces stopped him.

Videos of the incident are trending amid wide condemnation of the military.

It would be recalled that Agu, who is a staunch Biafra agitator, has been a vocal critic of the Buhari administration.

The the Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, is yet to react to the incident, as he did not take calls as at press time.
