Why Bianca Gave Obiano's Wife Farewell Slap at Soludo's Inauguration

It was dramatic as the wife of the immediate-past governor of Anambra State, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano and the wife of late Biafran Warlord, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu exchanged blows as the newest governor of the state, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo takes votes of office as the sixth democratically-elected governor of the state.

Although, the cause of the public fight is still sketchy, reports have it that Mrs. Obiano, who was earlier locked out of the inauguration venue, eventually came in an was greetings people. And when she Came to where Bianca was, she said “Bianca, so you're here; I thought you said you would never attend APGA event again?”

And Bianca stood up to challenge her, which led to the break out of the fight.

It took a prompt intervention of some security men, speaker of the state's House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uchenna Okafor, Archbishop Alexander Ibezim, the newly-sworn-in Deputy Governor, Dr. Ibezim and his wife; and other guests to separate the two women, as they held themselves on hairs and exchanged blow, while Chief Willie Obiano himself sat amazed in a cushion.

Another eyewitness who pleaded anonymity explained that “Mrs Obiano arrived late at the event. Then, on sighting Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, she called her a bitch severally, but Bianca ignored her.

“Then she (Mrs Obiano) stood up and went straight to where Bianca was sitting, called her bitch once more, and started asking her what she was doing at an APGA functio, after saying she would never attend APGA function again.

“Bianca could not take it any longer this time. She got up and gave Mrs Obiano a hot tantalizing slap, pulled off her wig, and went for more before the security men rushed to the intervene.”

Fuming in anger, Mrs Obiano also called Bianca “Ashawo”, and harshly scolded at her husband, Ex-Governor Willie Obiano when he attempted to calm her down.

“Many people pitied the out-gone governor for living with a complete beast as a wife. He's even garnered much sympathy as most believed it was his wife that drove him astray,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Governor Soludo has apologized to Ndị Anambra over the incident, which he described as a breach of protocol.

In a statement signed by the Head of Soludo Media, Joe  C. Anatune, Prof. Soludo noted that steps are being taken to resolve the misunderstanding and restore the parties to their previous relationship.

The statement reads: “Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo hereby apologizes to all Anambra people, friends and guests who attended his inauguration this morning as the Anambra State governor for the breach of protocol. The breach was caused by improper communication which itself arose from a personal issue between the two parties involved in the breach.

“Steps are being taken to resolve the misunderstanding and restore the parties to their previous relationship. Anambra State has over the years been  known for a huge stock of social harmony, and the stock will increase substantially in the years ahead as part of the concerted effort to accelerate the state's development.
