The Youth Wing of Ezinifite Town Union, in Ezinifite, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, the hometown of Hon. Paul Ezeobi, has recognized and honoured him with another prestigious award.
This was coming shortly after the awardee, Hon. Ezeobi was also honoured by the members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (Nnewi South Chapter), who also installed him as a patron.
Captioned "An Award of Honour presented to Hon. Paul Ezeobi, in recognition of your contribution and commitment towards the youths of Ezinifite and Ezinifite at large", the award was presented at an event recently organized by the youths, to unveil their office, install their patrons and recognize/award some deserving individuals.
In his Address of Welcome at the event, the President of Ezinifite Town Union (Youth Wing), Mr. Chukwumaobi Chidi highlighted some of the challenges encountered by the youth body, some of which, he said, have been surmounted through their collective efforts and efforts of some of the awardees and the newly installed patrons.
While commending Hon. Ezeobi and others who have contributed meaningfully to the development of youths and Ezinifite Community at large, the Youth President, however, noted that there are still few more areas of empowerment on which they need assistance, which include computer set for computer training, shuttle buses for transportation, and capital to enable those youths who have acquired one skill or the other to start up something.
Receiving his award, Hon. Ezeobi described it as an honour so dear to him, owing to the fact that it came from the youths of his own community, showing that his own people also recognize and appreciate his commitment to youth development.
He pledged to continue supporting and identifying with the youths and offering his best for their well-being; even as he advised the youths to always be of good character and desist from anything capable of marring their future, as the future of the community itself lies in their hands.
