ASCSDA Holds Training on COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus Programme

In preparation for Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus Programme, Anambra State Community and Social Development Agency has commenced training its staff, under the Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus Programme.
The Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus Programme is a Federal Government programme designed to give funds to poor and vulnerable families in Nigeria to cushion the effects of COVID 19 pandemic lock down.
The programme which will kick-off in July 2021, is also aimed at providing access to food security and grants to the poor and vulnerable households
Speaking at the event, the General Manager, Anambra State Community and Social Development Agency, Mr. Chudi Mojekwu said that the agency would be implementing the three key components of the programme which are: Labour intensive public workfare, Livelihood support project and the normal basic services, like the social infrastructure.
While thanking Governor Willie Obiano for giving support to the programme, he noted that a lot still needed to be achieved during the programme to cushion the effects of coronavirus lockdown on the poor and vulnerable Ndi Anambra.
The Operations Manager, Anambra State Community and Social Development Agency, Mrs. Uche Nwanizu look lauded the programme, which she noted, would touch the lives of poor and vulnerable citizens of the State.
On his own part, the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager of the Agency, Mr. Chuddy Nworah said they were focused on getting results as the programme will be assessed by external investigators every six months during its duration.
