Five Months After, Another Explosion Rocks Kaduna, Injures Children

Barely five months after explosion injured six children in Kaduna, another explosion has rocked the northern state and injured at least three children.

The explosion, which occured on Saturday evening badgered in Badarawa community, Kaduna North Local Government Area, through which no fewer three children sustained varying degrees of injuries.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the children were playing. Although the details of the incident are still sketchy as at press time, it was gathered that one of the victims lost two of his hands during the incident.

Confirming the incident in a telephone interview, when contacted, the Kaduna state’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, ASP Mohammed Jalige described the explosion as unfortunate and said that he was currently in the hospital where the victims are receiving treatment. 

He revealed that the command had deployed personnel to the area to ascertain the cause of the unfortunate explosion.

He said, “I am currently in the hospital to see the victims of the explosion. The command has also deployed personnel and some experts to the area to know the actual cause of the unfortunate incident. We will keep you posted."
