Anambra 2021: I'm Still in the Race, No Clear Candidate Yet, Says PDP's Maduka

The Nigerian-American medical expert and philanthropist-cum-business mogul, Dr. Godwin Maduka has extolled his supporters for showing him uncommon solidarity and support in his 2021 governorship aspiration in Anambra State.
Dr. Maduka who joined the governorship race under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, showered praise on his teeming supporters in a 'Thank You Party' organised in Awka, during which he also announced that he still belongs to the PDP Family, despite the unfavourable treatment allegedly meted out to him during the party's primary election.
According to him, he is would have decamped to another political party after the PDP's primary that saw him score only but a total of five votes —a primary election, he alleged, was laced with fraud and full of disappointment. Maduka also reiterated that he was still in the race and therefore called on his supporters to remain supportive and unwavering, as they await the final outcome of the party's primary and electoral proceedings.
He said, "I am still in the race; and this is in fact the begining of my political career. Now, I want you to know that there is no clear candidate yet for PDP; otherwise I would have decamped already to another party. PDP has one faction that produced one candidate and another faction that produced another candidate; but I am the candidate of the masses.
"Almost about ninety per cent of the statutory delegates and ad-hoc delegates want me to contest for the governorship position of Anambra State. Today, I just thanked them for their support and solidarity, as we wait for the final result of the PDP's nomination process for the governorship election."
Be it as it may, Dr. Maduka who holds triple professorship in Medical Sciences, pledged that the voices of the masses must surely be heard, and expressed optimism that he and nobody else would emerge the next governor of the state come November 6.
The further revealed that his primary aim for contesting the governorship post was to come home and serve his people, having acquired both national and international educational qualifications, resources and leadership experiences that all make him the most qualified of all the aspirants jostling for the Agụ Awka seat.
On what Ndị Anambra should expect from him if he finally emerges, the Founder of Las Vegas Pain Institute and Medical Cente, USA, Maduka said he would revolutionalise the educational system, the health system and the agricultural system of the state; enhance land, air and water transportation, prioritize youths and women empowerments, and ensure improved standard of living of the masses and the state's IGR.
He also pledged to develop every part of Anambra simultaneous, clear River Niger bank of dirts and pigs, dregde the river to Atlantic Ocean for easy shipping of containers, and ensure that no Anambra family lives under thatch-roofed house, among other plans he has for the people.
Maduka therefore called on the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party to, as a matter of urgency, 'do the right thing' in its electoral proceedings and the determination of who actually bears the party's standard ahead of the November 2021 gubernatorial election, as any mistake in doing that, may cost the party a lot.
