First Nnewi South Youths Hangout Holds Today In Amichi

By Izunna Okafor

It promises to be fanfare and funfair this evening, as all is now set for the first-of-its-kind gathering of Nnewi South Youths, tagged "Nnewi South Youths Get Together/Charity Event".

The event which is the first of its kind is an initiative of the concerned youths of Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra aimed at having good time, familiarizing with one another and having fun, while also touching lives through humanitarian services.

Speaking on the essence of the initiative, the Planning Committee Chairman, MacDonald Ifeme described the event a combination of charity and Get Together, and further noted that the charity-cum-humanitarian service aspect of the initiative aims at assisting and giving the less privileged in the society a sense of belonging, while the Get Together aspect is aimed at having fun and celebrating as fun together as brothers and sisters.

According to him the event which is also sponsored by the Nnewi South youths themselves is slated to hold today, Saturday 2nd January 2021, at the Super Royal Hotel, Amichi, in Nnewi South Local Government, and is slated to start at 3.PM, this evening.

He also noted that the charity-cum-humanitarian service aspect of the event has already started, as the group has started bags of rice to some less privileged people in the various (ten) communities of the local government area, which are Ebenator, Ukpor, Osumenyi, Ezinifite, Utuh, Unubi, Amichi, Ekwulumili, Azigbo and Akwaihedi.

He said, "Humanity deserves love and care and that we would always imbibe as growing youths of Nnewi South LGA. All thanks to the sponsors so far, we really really appreciate your kind gestures. God bless you all."

While inviting the youths of Nnewi South to avail themselves this evening for the convivial event, Mr. Ifeme further revealed that the event will feature educative segments, games, health talks, dance display, comedy display, relationship talks, and many more.

Further information and enquires concerning the event, he noted, should be directed to the committee via 08165113231.
