CADLANDS MD, MacAnthony Okeke Wins 2021 South East Campus Award

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of CADLANDS REAL ESTATE LTD. (www.CADLANDS.com), MacAnthony Chimezie Okeke has bagged the 2021 South East Campus Award (SECA) of Recognition on Youth Development.

This was announced at  the award ceremony, which recently held in Awka, Anambra State capital, during which awards were also presented to some other deserving individuals.

Speaking at the event, the Host described the award recipient, Okeke, as a hard-working and outstanding young man who has devoted both his resources, time and intellect to the service of humanity, and for the betterment of the society at large.

While explaining that the award was intended to recognize and honour him for his commitment towards youths development, the organizers of the awards also encouraged him to continue doing more, as his good works will always be remembered and appreciated.

Responding, Mr. Okeke, who appreciated the organizers for the recognition, described the award as a huge source of encouragement to him and reassured his commitment towards impacting positively in the society.

On why he has always supported creative minds and youth-related activities, the 27-year-old CADLANDS helmsman explained that creativity gives him joy, while giving people a reward for it gives him greater joy.

He also advised the youths to desist from the get-rich-quick syndrome, and urged them to make wealth they would be proud to talk about.

His words: "Make wealth that gives you people. Wealth you’ll be proud to talk about how you made it. Even though we chase money, it’s not money we seek but fulfillment. For a lot of people are rich but restless and scared. Why make money if you’d always get jumpy when you see a police man?"

A known lover of creativity, MacAnthony Chimezie Okeke has hosted and sponsored several events and contests geared towards celebrating and rewarding creativity in Nigeria. Notable among these, is his brainchild, Road to Fame Nigeria (RTFN), which was celebrated wildly within Anambra.

Through his latest platform, Cadplay - www.CADPLAY.tv - an offshoot of his RTFN, he intends to put smiles on the faces of young film and storytellers in Nigeria while spurring their creativity. Cadplay launches November 2021.

In his spare time, he takes up MC and Compere duties for fun. He is a man of many talents, and especially one who loves influencing lives positively.

Chimezie hails from Ofufe-Nza, Nza in Ozubulu town, Ekwusigo LGA, Anambra State, Nigeria. He's third of five kids. 

His awards so far include: ASES Award of Recognition on Contribution Towards Welfare of Students; Rotary Club Award on Professional Excellence Service Award; and South East Campus Award (SECA) of Recognition on Youth Development.
