Three blood-thirsty teenagers have been caught for allegedly slaughtering and burning the head of a young girl in Oke Aregba area of Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

According to reports, a local vigilante in the community, Mr. Segun Adewusi, saw a group of four boys in the early hours of Saturday burning head of a girl by the road side.

Consequent upon that, the security guard immediately alerted the police at Adatan Station, and they who immediately went to the scene and got three of the boys arrested as one of them had earlier fled before the arrival of the police.

It was alleged that the slain girl, simply identified as Rofiat, was a girlfriend to one of the boys who perpetrated the evil act, Mr. Soliu, who is also currently in the police net with his accomplices.

It was also alleged that the boys had carried out the heinous act for money ritual purpose

The arrested suspects include: 17-year-old Wariz Oladeinde from Kugba, 19-year-old Abdulgafar Lukman from Kugba; and Mustakeem Balogun from Bode Olude, all in Abeokuta. Soliu was the boyfriend of the girl, he ran away, but was later arrested.

Soliu was said to have lured the girl to his room, where he held her down and asked one of his friends to slaughter her with a knife.

Adewuso, the security man said: “They killed Rofiat, cut her head, packed the headless body in a sack and started burning the head in a pot.

They also confessed the police in the presence of a mammoth crowd, that they wanted to use it for money ritual.

“The police have taken the body away to a mortuary.”

However, in a vital video, Mustakeem Balogun, one of the suspects, said, “We wanted to use just her head alone for money ritual. Soliu strangled her and he told me to assist him and we cut off her head.”

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, has also confirmed the issue, and reassured the public that they were on top of the matter.
