Nigerian Filmmaker, Michael Chineme Ike Set to Produce New High School TV Series

Michael Chineme Ike, a Nigerian Film Maker, best known for Hustler, an international film he directed, has announced plans to produce a new high school TV series, The Dreamers.
Ike, who has also directed other short films like The Little Things That Matter, The Web, and The Irreplaceable, disclosed his plans for the new TV series while speaking with newsmen in Awka, Anambra State capital, shortly after returning from Dubai, where he went to cap up arrangements for the first premiering of the TV series.
According to him, The Dreamers, which was also written by him is a musical Nigerian high school TV series that follows the lives of young talented Nigerian students, pursuing their dreams amidst various challenges and obstacles along their ways.
He further revealed that the film is set in Nigeria and the United States of America, and will feature legendary actors and actresses, including Ngozi Ezeonu, Blessing Nwankwo, among others. The TV series, according to him, will also feature two international casts from the United States of America and South Africa respectively.
Ike also noted that filmmakers Benneth Nwankwo and John Chukwu Okonkwo have been teamed for the principal photography.
Although release date is yet to be announced, production of the Series is expected to end before the fall of 2021.
