Obiano... We Call Him Omelọrà Ndị Ọrụ —Uduh

Anambra State Head of Service, Barr. Harry Uduh has described Governor Willie Obiano as a workers friendly governor and Omelọrà Ndị Ọrụ.

Barr. Uduh disclosed this known in an interview with newsmen on the occasion of the Governor's last birthday in office as a governor, his feats in the state's civil service sector, his personality as a governor, and his relationship with Anambra workers.

Highlighting some of the great feats the governor has attained in the civil service sector of the state and in ensuring the workers welfare, which earned him an award as the Most Outstanding Governor on Workers Welfare 2018 at the 2018 Nigeria Public Sector Summit and Awards; Barr. Uduh further revealed that the governor has always motivated and made the workforce of the state very comfortable by insuring that the things that matter in the lives of the average public servants are not neglected.

He noted that the governor has done so well, especially by prompt payment of the salaries, emoluments and pensions, which earned him the name 'Alert Governor', adding that other matters relating to the civil servants and public servants as a whole are looked into inspite of paucity of fund the country, occasioned by the country's dwindling economy.

He said, "I can tell you straight away that Chief Willie Obiano is a man who deserves every good thing that life can offer. Not just because he's the governor of the state but because he's a good man. He has a good heart and he has a good personality that you can relate with.

On the wishes of the Anambra workers to him, he said "Infact, we wish him many more years of celebrations in good health, in happiness, and in joy; and we also wish him all the best in whatever future endeavors he may engage in."

Continuing, he said, "As a person, he has made my job very easy. He has done a lot to reduce the burden of the office that I hold. When I present issues concerning the Service, he does not just throw them away. Even if he cannot do all at that time, he'll meet me halfway, just to make sure the workers are comfortable. 

"And there is no better gift to give him on this occasion of his birthday than to continue to pray for him, that God will continue to guide and protect him and his family, and that the future for him will even be brighter than what it is today. We wish him all the best."
