In Anambra, ARTMA Reveals How to Identify Real Officers of the Agency, Sets Boundary for Officers' Duties

Motorists and other members of the public have been urged to report and individual impersonating to be an officer of the Anambra Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA) or enforcing anything in the name of the Agency without being identifiable with the Agency.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of ARTMA, Engr. Okonkwo Emeka-Konti, gave the advice in a statement issued to newsmen on Tuesday, September 24, in which he also disclosed how to identify real officers of the Agency.

According to Engr. Emeka-Konti, only individuals properly dressed in ARTMA uniforms as shown in the picture in this publication should be identified as officers of the Agency.

The ARTMA Boss also re-emphasized that the ARTMA officers responsibilities are only limited to traffic control/enforcement and pedestrian safety.

“Please be advised that only individuals properly dressed in ARTMA uniforms, as shown in the attached picture, should be identified as our officers.

“The responsibilities of ARTMA officers are traffic control/ enforcement and pedestrian safety ONLY.

“If you encounter anyone impersonating an ARTMA officer or enforcing anything else in the name of ARTMA, please report them immediately to the police or call our helpline on 08144228836 for prompt action,” Engr. Emeka-Konti said in the statement.
