The Management of the Anambra State University, now known as the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University has reiterated that the University is not taking part in the ongoing one month strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
The University's Public Relations Officer, Dr. Harrison Madubueze made this known in a statement issued to that effect, in which he also reminded students of the institution who have started absenting from school in the name of ASUU strike, that academic activities are fully going on in the school.
He also told parents who ignore any of their wards studying in institution who came home and told them they are on strike.
Dr. Madubueze, who noted that University-wide quiz has begun and is currently ongoing in the various campuses of the University, also reiterated the University's commitment to ensuring that students graduate when they are supposed to without incurring further expenses for their parents.
The statement reads, “This is to inform the general public that Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University is not on strike.
“Academic activities are going on massively with the University-wide quiz which began on Tuesday 22nd February 2022 and will end on Saturday 26th February 2022.
“Parents should therefore ignore any of their wards who come home to inform them otherwise.
“The University is committed to ensuring that students graduate when they are supposed to without incurring further expenses for their parents.
