Anambra 2021: Maduka joins Accord Party, says other parties will vote him

Anambra born, US based Pain specialist,  Dr Godwin Maduka has finally declared to Accord Party and dumped PDP as he prepares to contest for Nov. 6, Anambra Gubernatorial election 2021.

During the press conference at his campaign office in Awka, Dr Maduka, the former PDP governorship aspirant was officially received into Accord Party by the National and State Executive of the party.

While addressing the newsmen, Dr Maduka disclosed his ability to transform Anambra state as his first priority for coming down from United States, urging every indigenes to join hands together in making his struggle to expand community development to come to reality as well as to restore good governance in the state. 
He stated that if elected as governor, his first three priorities will be to ensure financial stability of Ndi Anambra, improve securities in the state and adequate developments to the envy of others in the country noting that inspite of what happened after the primaries, the people of Anambra state are calling on him to come out for the gubernatorial race.

"I was there in the Hall when the lists was changed three times and the selection was made. I don't have anything against PDP. That was how they decided to do their business. I was already going to win the ticket of the PDP, as the Adhoc and statutory delegates were ready to vote for me, but unfortunately, the PDP decided to do selection instead of election"

"Joining Accord party is because they are people I can work with. I have been involved in Nigeria politics most especially in Anambra as well as helped most politicians who were sicking for support. I have qualified certificate to enable me participate in the campaign"

“The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the governor and many others remains my friends. I decided to leave PDP and look for a party that I can work with. I decided to choose the people I can work with"

Furthermore, Dr Maduka stated the need for physical fitness which he said that improves mental alertness noting that when modern stadium is built in the state, the youths will be able to participate in the Olympic games across the world while construction of seaport at Onitsha will also boost the standard of trading in the state.

"If you construct roads, schools, you creates empowerment among them. There will be no gender biasness in my administration. I can tell you that when we manage our resources very well, we will standout among other states in the country. I've also told Ndi Anambra through my Vision statement that I run a lot of investment in US and have foreigners who will come to modernise our dear state. I'm engaged to make Anambra the medical tourism in Nigeria".

Dr Maduka stressed that having had his experience in the primaries, his friends in PDP will cast their vote for him in November 6 including APGA supporters.

In his address, the state chairman of Accord party, Chief Bartholomew Igwedibia welcomed both members if the party more especially the flag bearer of the party in the next gubanutorial election in Anambra state, Dr. Godwin Maduka, discribing him as man of the people and urge Ndi Anambra to cast their vote for Maduka.

"Dr. Godwin Maduka has what it takes to stand and protect the people of Anambra state. Accord party will be very easy to identify by the electorates. We shall take everything to ensure that this struggle shall come to pass".

Also at the conference, Dr Maduka declared Mr Keneth Obi as his deputy and described him as a grassroots politician per excellence, geared up to return the glory of Anambra and establish trust of the people in Goverment again.

Recalled that Mr Alex Nwankwo, a media practitioner, and publicist, initially emerged governorship candidate of Accord, but had now been substituted with Maduka.
